Extra Curricular Activities
The Middle School Student Council has elected class representatives and works to represent the Middle School students on campus. They host activity nights, perform community service, and host Spaghetti Dinners. Each year they hold a Spring Carnival for area children which benefits a national or local charity.
The Society of St. Vincent dePaul – Youth Vincentians
The Middle School has their own Society of St Vincent de Paul. They work with their advisor to improve the lives of our area families in need and sponsor young Vincentians in Africa. They raise funds for their philanthropy through bake sales, and other signature events like “Freezin’ for a Reason” where they spend an afternoon and evening outside in the winter and experience how the elements affect homeless people. These students also volunteer their time at the SVDP store and food bank.
Science Olympiad is an American elementary, middle, and high school team competition in which students compete in ‘events’ pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Over 6,700 teams from 50 U.S. states compete each year. These one day competitions have students work in teams and take part in a variety of science activities involving hands-on challenges, tests of knowledge and scientific measurement skills.
