Varsity Softball
Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy has both junior varsity and varsity softball teams. We compete in the M&O Conference, and we co-op with Lena as in baseball, football, wrestling, cross country, and track. Our season runs from early March to middle of May.

Assistant Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity Coach- Fred Carl
Fred has been assisting with girl’s softball for the past six years. Coach Cindy Powers was an instrumental in getting Fred into coaching. He enjoys seeing the girls learn the basics of softball. Fred has a daughter, Laura who graduated from Marinette Catholic Central.
Softball Varsity and Junior Varsity Coach- Shirley Martin
Coach Martin is entering her fourth year as varsity softball coach after being the junior varsity coach for the previous four years. Prior to coaching at Marinette Catholic Central she was Holy Family’s athletic director and girls 8th grade basketball coach for nine years. She also coach junior varsity softball and basketball at Marinette High School for four years. Shirley and her husband, Mike has three children who all graduated from Catholic Central. They also have two grandsons.
