Girls Varsity Coach-Ron “Satch” Englund

Ron “Satch” Englund of Menominee is varsity girl’s basketball coach at Saint Thomas Aquinas in his 18th year. He started the girls basketball program at Menominee Catholic Central grade school in 1976 and also served as athletic director while at Catholic Central.  He has coached two Fox Valley Christian conference champions, 2nd M&O conference champions and six state champions.  Involved in sports his entire life, Satch started in grade school playing basketball.  In high school he participated in basketball, football and track and after graduating service two years in the armed forces in Korea.  There he participated in basketball.  After service he played impendent basketball and baseball and was a member of the Menominee hornets football squad.  His coaching credentials include little league baseball, pop Warner football, Menominee high school varsity football assistant coach, grade and junior high boys basketball and junior high girls basketball.  A native of Menominee, he resides in Menominee with his wife, Paula.

Girls Junior Varsity Coach- Kevin Bahl

Kevin is a 1976 graduate of Catholic Central, where he played one year of football and four years of both Basketball and Tennis.  He’s coached 12 years of 4th though 8th grade girls basketball at Holy Family and five years of 3rd though 5th grade boys basketball at Central elementary in Menominee.  Kevin resides in Marinette with his wife, Kim.  They have three children. He’s employed at Marinette marine and operates a part time cabinet business.  He is a member of Holy Family Parish and in his spare time, enjoys bow hunting, pool and horseshoes.
