There are Merit and Competitive scholarships available to our students.
Each one has their own requirements and guidelines.

Competitive Scholarships

The Matthew Wendel Selsor Scholarship is available to students who are new to the Academy in grades 1 through 8 and is for the first year only.  The scholarship amount is not stated because the total award may be divided between several families.  New students/families are encouraged to apply and return the enclosed materials to the Marinette Catholic Central Foundation by April 15, 2016.

The Marinette Knights of Columbus sponsors three scholarships. One at $250 for a rising 1st Grade student, one at $250 for a rising 6th Grade student and one at $500 for incoming Freshman ( may be divided between two recipients).  These are open to all students in the appropriate grades whether they are new to the Academy or not.  Please submit the application to the High School Office by April 15, 2016.

The Steve Matty Scholarship is awarded to one incoming Senior and one incoming Junior in the amount of $2500 each, applied towards tuition.  Please complete the essay and return to the High School Office no later than April 15, 2016.  Selected recipients will be notified prior to the start of the 2015-2016 school year.

The Dorothy Wendel Foley Scholarship targets young women who are rising 8th grade students and encourages pursuit and enjoyment of music/journalism/language in conjunction with academic accomplishment and extra curricular interests.  The scholarship is awarded to one recipient and equals 50% of tuition and fees for 2015-2016.   Please complete all parts of the application and submit to the Marinette Catholic Central Foundation by April 15, 2016.

The Cayen Family Scholarship, is to be awarded yearly to a Catholic male student entering the 9th grade at St. Thomas Aquinas Academy. The primary criterion of the scholarship is financial need, with secondary criteria to be out-of-school activities and good citizenship as demonstrated in his grade school years. The candidate should be someone who is eager to learn, helpful to others, and with a strong commitment to studies. Please complete all parts of the application and submit to the Marinette Catholic Central Foundation by April 15, 2016.

The Bruemmer Scholarship is open to students who have been at the Academy for more than one year and will be in grades 9 through 12. Some of the criteria taken into consideration are that the student should maintain high academic standards according to their ability, participate in school organizations or athletics, be a member of an area Catholic parish, and have a desire to attend college. The student is asked to submit a one page essay with their application. Please submit to the High School Office by April 15, 2016.
