Academy
St. Thomas Aquinas Academy
Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy was formed in 2004 when local Catholic school leaders, with the support of the Bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay, merged St. Mary’s elementary school, Holy Family school, and Marinette Catholic Central High School into one school system. The Academy utilizes the St. Mary’s site for pre-K through 5th grade and the Marinette Main Street campus for grades 6-12. The school system is under the supervision of a principal, a business manager, and an experienced lead teacher at the elementary level. A Board of Trustees acts as an advisory board and monitors the academic, co-curricular, and athletic activities of the school system. Tuition for each campus is established in the spring of each year for the following school year. Holy Family Parish of Marinette, St. Mary’s Parish of Peshtigo, and Saints Joseph and Edward Parish of Walsh are the subsidizing parishes of the Academy. Fundraising projects carried out by the system are used to support programs at all levels within the Academy.
St. Thomas Aquinas Academy’s Mission Statement
The mission of Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy is to provide an affordable education in the Catholic teaching tradition that inspires in students a life long thirst for knowledge, wisdom, and truth; a desire to reach the full potential which God has intended for them; and a recognition of the discipline of the mind and heart required for effective service to others in the love of God.
Grant, o merciful God, that I may ardently desire, prudently examine, truthfully acknowledge, and perfectly accomplish what is pleasing to Thee for the praise and glory of Thy name. Amen.
St Thomas Aquinas
