Academy
St. Thomas Aquinas Academy
Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy was formed in 2004 when local Catholic school leaders, with the support of the Bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay, merged St. Mary’s, Holy Family, and Marinette Catholic Central into one school system with three separate buildings. The new school system is under the supervision of a president with an experienced teacher from each campus assisting the president in the day-to-day operations of the school. A Board of Trustees acts as an advisory board and monitors the academic, co-curricular, and athletic activities of the school system. The fundraising projects carried out by the system are used to support all programs within the Academy at each of the three buildings. The tuition for each campus is established in the spring of each year for the following school year. The subsidizing parishes are: Holy Family Parish of Marinette, St. Mary’s Parish of Peshtigo, and S.S. Joseph and Edward Parish of Walsh.
St. Thomas Aquinas Academy’s Mission Statement
The mission of Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy is to provide an affordable education in the Catholic teaching tradition that inspires in students a life long thirst for knowledge, wisdom, and truth; a desire to reach the full potential which God has intended for them; and a recognition of the discipline of the mind and heart required for effective service to others in the love of God.
Grant, o merciful God, that I may ardently desire, prudently examine, truthfully acknowledge, and perfectly accomplish what is pleasing to Thee for the praise and glory of Thy name. Amen.
St Thomas Aquinas
